Post-hello eco Shop Party (in no order of importance at all!!!)
Dear all who walked the tiny slope and turned up at our doorstep, we are most happy and touched by your coming to our little humble dwelling.
Here’s a big thank you to:
Shannon, Mike, Moses, Wayne, Darren, Andre for lending us their hands in the setting up of our shop, for the drilling works, the tying of knots, painting of walls, knocking of more nails…etc
Mom and Dad for being patient, understanding and supportive throughout every odd decisions we’ve ever made.
Ian, for teaching me how to drill.
Early Guests like Terry Ong, sorry I hadn’t bought ice for the drinks! Shows you how inexperienced I am at organising parties. Thank you so much for coming by our shop.
Our shop’s consignees like Trudy (yes, sis found the label!), Eugenie (sorry, I worry too much but so glad you came by!), Belinda for her amazing sense of order who helped us arranged our bag racks, and shared with us her amazing collection of vintage treasures, plus Nathaniel and Mickey, and lovely big dog (Arsifer?), thank you! I hope the Japanese dinner turn out great! Not to forget Grace too!
Big THANK YOUs to: Ricky, Mary, John (wonderful dino picture!), James, Andrew and friend Kenny, Flee, Mindflyer, Yiwen, Chris of Chris Pantry for her lovely muffins and cheese-treats, Aya (so pleased to meet you!), the Catalog Team, oh no so many, please forgive me, everything was a major blur. I swear I did not know how I survived.
Guests who got lost!: So sorry if the map wasn’t clear, we trust you will find us with a better map that is now available here.
Booksactually Kids: for the lovely English cookies and tea bags- for the gigantic surprise!
Grandma and Aunties and Uncles: For your lovely big flowers! We’ve plucked some out as our window display.
To all that I spoke to but did not catch your names: Very pleased to meet you, and hope you’ve enjoyed yourself at our nonsensical, colorful, odd, tiny, crowded, loud, happy yappy party.
with all our love,
Xin (who wrote this) &
Enqi (who edited only very little and because she’s not allowed to edit xin’s zines)
Enqi also wants to give special thank yous to her lovely friends, Audrey, Alison, Alyssa (and sister Alina!) for coming. It’s nice to have wonderful sisters!
Love you gals very much. And to her lovely church small group: The Ark! Thank you for the potted plant. Lovely plants always cheer us up!
